Effect verification of red rust turning into black rust.
This factory has been in operation for 15 years, and there are significant concerns about corrosion within the piping. As a countermeasure, we installed the "NMR Pipe Protector." After installation, there have been no occurrences of leaks, and the mass spectrometry results of the black rust within the rust indicated that the progression of red rust has been prevented, confirming the rehabilitation of the piping due to the formation of black rust. The amount of black rust within the rust increased from 1.2% before installation to 76.8% after 12 months, and to 90.2% after 23 months, proving the blackening of red rust. If we continue to use the "NMR Pipe Protector" in the future, piping replacement will not be necessary as long as external corrosion does not occur.
